Five men were arrested for housebreaking and theft following
\na car chase and shootout with police in Belhar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident occurred at Commerse Way in old Belhar
\nyesterday (Wednesday 5 July). Police received a complaint and upon
\ninvestigation, spotted a vehicle driving recklessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana
\nsays their members gave chase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe information indicated that this vehicle had been
\ninvolved in a housebreaking incident in Belhar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nduring which four suspects were shot and wounded. They were transported to
\nhospital for treatment under police guard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nwitnessed one of the men running into a neighbour\u2019s yard, where he was
\napprehended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nMagistrate\u2019s Court where they will be facing charges of housebreaking and
\ntheft.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
