On Monday 1 October a woman, believed to be in her 30s, died
\nafter being hit by a train at the Oosterzee Station in Oosterzee, Parrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cER24 paramedics, along with the Metro Rescue, arrived on
\nthe scene at 15:06 to find the body of a woman lying on the tracks,\u201d says
\nER24\u2019s Russel Meiring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Meiring, paramedics assessed the woman and
\nfound that she had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was
\ndeclared dead. Fortunately, no-one on the train sustained any injuries.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meiring says local authorities were on the scene for further
\ninvestigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Captain Kevin Williams, spokesperson for Parow Police
\nStation, confirmed the incident. Williams says a case has been opened and
\ndetectives have been appointed to the investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
