A
\n25-year old man from Scottsville was arrested on Tuesday evening following a
\nshooting in Morgenster Heights, wherein one man died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During
\nthe shooting at about 23:15 on Monday evening, a 27- year-old man was shot in
\nthe head after giving his assailant a lift. He picked him up in Frans Conradie
\nRoad in Scottsville and while traveling up Frans Conradie Road in Brackenfell
\nthe man pulled out a gun and tried to rob the three men in the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe
\nsuspect then shot the driver, who lost control of his vehicle and crashed
\nthrough a wall coming to a standstill in the back yard of a house in Marais
\nStreet. The driver of the vehicle was deceased by the time emergency services
\narrived at the scene shortly after,\u201d says police spokesperson Captain Erica
\nCrous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The
\nother occupants of the car was treated for their injuries and transported to
\nhospital. The robber got away on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYesterday
\nBrackenfell detectives Captain Daniel Sampson and Warrant Officer Raymond
\nSaville received information about a possible suspect which they investigated
\nand found to be positive,\u201d says Crous. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At
\n18:10 on Tuesday evening they arrested the man from Scottsville. He is
\ncurrently in detention and will appear in Blue Downs Court on Friday 1 February
