TygerBurger<\/em>, in association with Francois du Plessis Self-Defence, is joining the fight against gender-based violence through a series of self-defence videos aimed at empowering women with the knowledge on how to defend themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These four short videos are loaded with valuable content and self-help tips on what to do when faced with a dangerous situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An experienced sixth dan karate instructor, Du Plessis demonstrates how the vulnerable can defend themselves by taking the viewer through various scenarios depicted in each video. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this week\u2019s video demonstration, Francois explains what to do when being choked or gripped around the neck, with one or both hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He illustrates and talks us through how to get out of the grip should one be choked around the throat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in the video it is being explained how one can get out of the grip should a would-be attacker grab the victim from behind around the neck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to get out of the grip of an attacker when being grabbed while loading the boot, for example, is one of the key takeaways from this week\u2019s very informative video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
