On Tuesday 19 July the Spottmedia Team decided to sponsor items such as roll-on, soap, shampoo, conditioner, milk and more to Rainbow House. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rainbow of Hope, lovingly known as Rainbow House, operates as a place of safety for vulnerable children in Cape Town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The home was established in October 2007, and since then has obtained its Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Petersen, they chose Rainbow House as all these kids come from broken households. Most children do not have their parents in their lives so they struggle with support, mentorship and examples to whom they can look up to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These situations often result in the youth turning to other substances which affect their future negatively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy parents also divorced when I was 13\/14 years of age and my example to the children at Rainbow House was to show them that if I can do something great like starting a business (Spott Media) and making it a success they can do that as well,\u201d Petersen said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
