President High School with a pass rate of 96,1%, Goodwood College had a pass rate of 91,9%, and J.G. Meiring a pass rate of 85,5%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jo-Anne Malcolm, the Grade 12 grade head of the 2022 class at Fairbairn College, says the school has high academic standards and always aims for a 100% pass rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malcolm explained that \u201cthe 2022 grade 12s were badly impacted by the covid pandemic\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo, it was inevitable that they would struggle,\u201d Malcolm said. This comes after a drop from last year\u2019s exquisitely 97,9% matric pass rate at the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are still immensely proud of our learners. Fairbairn College is committed to achieving its goal of a 100% pass rate,\u201d Malcolm said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Images\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_575425a2\">\n<div class=\"slide\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-smallsrc=\"https:\/\/cdn.24.co.za\/files\/Cms\/General\/d\/8135\/edd960f7062243c7b4698425b7443cfe.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/tygerburger\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/a443f39fdabd4e3fa5c0b53fefe5eb0c.jpg\" title=\"Fairbairn College aims for a 100% pass rate.\"><p><\/p>\n<div class=\"caption\">Fairbairn College aims for a 100% pass rate.<\/div>\n<div class=\"img_accreditation\"><span class=\"source\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><span class=\"photographer\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The top subjects in this school were Afrikaans with 29 distinctions, business studies with 23 distinctions, English with 21 distinctions and accounting 16 with distinctions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top students at Fairbairn College were: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Amy Stadler 85,0%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jared Wyngaardt 82,7%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mia West 82,5%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeran Moodley 81,4% <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hayley Simpson 80,5% <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Malcolm\u2019s advice for the 2023 matrics is to start working from day one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t leave studying to the last minute,\u201d Malcolm says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She advises that the matrics should find a healthy balance in their life.
