The Ruyterwacht Neighbourhood Watch celebrated Youth Day with a career expo on Friday 16 June \u2013 and will be hosting similar events in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Janine Thomas, secretary of the Ruyterwacht Neighbourhood Watch, they are quite pleased with the turnout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are especially grateful to those parents who joined their children because we simply cannot do any of these without their help, support and encouragement,\u201d Thomas said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The highlight of the neighbourhood watch would be the interaction and engagement between the children and the speakers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thomas said they could see their enthusiasm and their desire to obtain as much information as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis was the aim of the event after all,\u201d Thomas expressed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe would like to continue in our pursuit to uplift and support our youth where possible and would like to get them as involved as possible,\u201d Thomas said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
