He was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Riad Davids, the Ward councillor for Thornton, said he was informed about the incident soon after it happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe called law enforcement as the police were not able to be there immediately. An ambulance was also called, however, there was a delay in them getting there as well,\u201d Davids said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Davids, the Thornton Neighbourhood Watch and many concerned citizens were there to assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Provincial police spokesperson Capt Frederick van Wyk said a case of attempted hijacking was opened. \u201cThe victim, a man, was driving his white Big Boy motorcycle when he was suddenly hit by a silver car, a Hyundai Accent. One of the passengers of the car jumped out and took the motorcycle but left it again after the victim was assisted by witnesses,\u201d Van Wyk explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Wyk stated that the victim
