Residents in Ward 1 and 5 are urged to re-register ahead of next year\u2019s national and provincial government elections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is due to a change in voting districts in these two wards, says Cayla Murray, member of the Western Cape provincial parliament and constituency head for Durbanville and Blaauwberg 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ward 1 includes the areas Monte Vista, Plattekloof, Panorama, Welgelegen, Kleinbosch and Ward 5 Bothasig, Edgemead Burgundy Estate and Richwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is essential that voters\u2019 registration details are corrected, following the change of voting stations, and that their names are not left off the voters\u2019 roll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have been informed that because of the delimitation process an additional voting station has been added in Ward 5, namely, the Richwood Community Hall. This means that residents residing particularly in Richwood, Burgundy, De Zicht and De Aan Zicht Estates will urgently need to re-register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe World Estate voting station has been changed to NorthLink College in Ward 1. This means that residents residing mainly in Panorama, Plattekloof and Welgelegen will urgently need to re-register,\u201d says Murray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
