Three suspects are behind bars after a drive-by shooting incident at the intersection of Koeberg and Racecourse Road last Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Montague Gardens-Marconi Beam Improvement District (MMID), an organisation striving to improve the public safety of the area, confirmed this during one of their patrols on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThree suspects emerged from a white Ford Bantam bakkie and discharged a firearm at two individuals in a black VW Polo,\u201d the MMID said in a statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the victims sustained a fractured chin as a result of the gunfire. Despite their injuries, the victims managed to escape and sought refuge at the Milnerton Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A comprehensive manhunt and search operation was initiated. Shortly afterwards, a white Bantam bakkie matching the description provided by the victims was spotted, travelling in the direction of McDonald\u2019s on Montague Drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThree coloured males were seen inside the vehicle. As we proceeded to follow the bakkie on the N7 towards Voortrekker Road, SM03 enlisted the assistance of a private police vehicle stationed in front of the Milnerton Police Station.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On realising they were being pursued the suspects engaged in reckless driving, prompting a high-speed chase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
