As we grieve this profound loss, we remember Dylan for the joy that he brought into our lives and the many ways in which he made our school a better place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Custom\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_e148a71b\">\n<div class=\"custom\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"651\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FFairmontHighSchool%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0mhWwuqLZgaAcuiqFpmBB635EdERLEwWp3NpYEs1UhCT9twxArbuSVYZXRFwn39ZPl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;\" width=\"500\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with Dylan\u2019s parents, twin sister, family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dylan and another person, Ashley du Toit (21), were on their way to Paternoster when their vehicles crashed with a truck at about 20:00 at the crossing of the R45 (Vredenburg-Hopefield) and R27 (West Coast Road). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They had to be cut from their vehicle. Du Toit was taken to Life West Coast Hospital in a critical condition but passed away at the hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dylan passed away at the scene of the
