{"id":43974,"date":"2024-09-18T10:28:52","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T08:28:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/tygerburger\/sa-water-warriors-need-r200-000-to-make-christmas-outreach-a-reality-20240918-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T04:39:07","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T02:39:07","slug":"sa-water-warriors-need-r200-000-to-make-christmas-outreach-a-reality-20240918-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/tygerburger\/sa-water-warriors-need-r200-000-to-make-christmas-outreach-a-reality-20240918-2\/","title":{"rendered":"SA Water Warriors need R200 000 to make Christmas outreach a reality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SA Water Warriors is struggling to get to the regular amounts of outreaches they used to do per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deon Smit, the founder of SA Water Warriors, expressed with sadness that their resources did not allow them to do more. \u201cWhere we have had six outreaches per year for the past six years we have had only two this year,\u201d says Smit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>READ |&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.news24.com\/news24\/community-newspaper\/tygerburger\/find-your-latest-edition-of-tygerburger-here-20240527\" target=\"_blank\">The latest print edition of <\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.news24.com\/news24\/community-newspaper\/tygerburger\/find-your-latest-edition-of-tygerburger-here-20240527\" target=\"_blank\">TygerBurger<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.news24.com\/news24\/community-newspaper\/tygerburger\/find-your-latest-edition-of-tygerburger-here-20240527\" target=\"_blank\"> here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their last outreach was in May this year to Brandvlei in the Northern Cape where 150 families, farmers and their workers were supplied with groceries and fodder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organisation is hoping to have their annual Christmas outreach at the end of November or beginning of December. \u201cAlthough we have an area in mind it will only be made known when we are certain that we will be able to make it.
