The youth, the senior\u2019s club and various meetings were cancelled. The church council went from pillar to post to get help and eventually help arrived last week. The City\u2019s Mayco member for water and sanitation, Zahid Badroodien, says after a thorough investigation by the City\u2019s water and sanitation maintenance team, a manhole on the affected sewer line was discovered to have been covered by soil and grass, making it look like a sinkhole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis obstruction prevented the team from accessing the manhole sooner, contributing to the delay in resolving the sewer blockage. Once the manhole was located, the blockage was cleared, and normal services have since resumed,\u201d says Badroodien. He pleaded with the community to respect the sewerage system. \u201cWe kindly request that residents and businesses assist by keeping manholes accessible, as delays in locating and accessing them can
