The concert takes place on Saturday, 19 September, at 20:00 and forms part of the WOMAD International Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event celebrates the legacy of the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu \u2014 a life devoted to hope, reconciliation, and unity \u2014 through music and dance. It brings together performers from across the globe to honour his vision of a better, more peaceful world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sharing-the-stage-with-the-world\">Sharing the stage with the world<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yellowwood Choir will perform alongside artists from the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Estonia, Austria, New Zealand, and South African hip-hop artist Jitsvinger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school says the choir is &#8220;proudly representing Mitchells Plain on a world stage&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-two-pieces-on-the-programme\">Two pieces on the programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The choir will perform two pieces on the night. The first is &#8220;Ode to Joy&#8221;, the official anthem of the European Union. The second is &#8220;Flowers Consume War&#8221;, a composition by Professor Brian Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-free-vocal-workshop-the-week-before\">Free vocal workshop the week before<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the week before the concert, learners will have the chance to take part in a free vocal workshop led by celebrated M\u0101ori singers Kapowairua Waitai from New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-honouring-heroes-of-the-community\">Honouring heroes of the community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The concert will also include a &#8220;Prophets of the
