Private security officers arrested a suspect and seized cocaine with an estimated street value of R12 000 during a drug bust in Bellville on Tuesday 7 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SJC Tactical Officers T4 and T5 responded to an alert at approximately 12:24, after their system had flagged a silver Volkswagen Polo for suspected drug-related activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officers located the vehicle at the Frans Conradie and Paradys Street traffic lights before following it to the Engen Garage in Old Oak, where they secured the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working alongside Bellville police, they conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and discovered a sock hidden behind the steering wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sock contained 16 packets of cocaine, weighing approximately twelve grams, with an estimated street value of R12 000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect, along with the vehicle, drugs and cash found in his possession, was handed over to the police for arrest, legal processing and further investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
