Families struggling to access special needs services in the Western Cape will have the opportunity to connect with dozens of support providers under one roof next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cher\u00e9 Botha School will host an expo on Saturday 14 March, from 09:00 to 12:00, at 20 Meerlust Street, Oakglen, Bellville. The event aims to bridge the gap between families and the wide range of services often difficult to access within the special-needs sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 20 service providers are expected to participate, including Horizon House, Oasis Protective Workshop, Iris House, Chris Steytler Industries, Vasco Special Needs Centre, Sunfield Homes, Living Link, and Cape Town APD. Other participants include Autism Western Cape, Camphill Farm, Elizabeth Roos Home, and Evelyn Angeline Serenity Home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The expo will also feature supported employment enterprises, training workshops and educational-support services such as SISU Eduplay and Job Abled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
School officials describe the expo as “a valuable opportunity to connect, collaborate and explore resources that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners and families.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event is open to schools, educators, parents and caregivers who support individuals with special needs. Organisers encourage all members of the special-needs community to attend this informative gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
