Andries Olivier Durbanville Quadriplegic Centr<\/a>e is expanding its fund-raising bookshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The centre will add another half-container to the garden, it said in a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bookshop will also have a sale on the second Saturday of each month, at the centre’s premises, at 18 Hafele Street, Durbanville from 09:00 to 14:00. Books will be on sale for as little as R5 each. The first book sale for the year will be on 10 January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our shelves are overflowing and our well-stocked bookshop has an amazing selection of well-priced books from cookery books, interesting biographies, children’s books, South African interest books,” said the centre’s Allen Petersen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“About 10 new boxes were unpacked and carefully sorted to provide you with a curated collection of quality books. A growing collection of collectibles is on sale every month. There is something for everyone.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shop also has an ongoing R1-a-laugh special on their cartoon books, including Snoopy, Madam & Eve<\/em>, and Garfield<\/em>. Petersen said that the shop also sells reasonably priced plants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On weekdays the Browse & Buy Bookshop is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 15:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also donate books to the shop’s fundraisers. You can drop books off any time during the week. All proceeds go towards the care of the centre’s residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
