Renowned photographer shares his Table Mountain adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acclaimed aerial and underwater photographer Jean Tresfon enjoyed a spectacular evening hike on Table Mountain on 5 November, sharing his adventure with hiking companions Cleeve Robertson and Barry Beyleveld along some of the mountain’s most scenic routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trio set off along the popular Pipe Track before tackling the challenging Slangolie Ravine, where Tresfon noted the improved conditions thanks to the dry season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The usually slippery rocky-scree slope is much more stable underfoot in the dry season!” he posted on his Facebook page, describing the more manageable terrain that greeted the hikers.

The evening’s highlight came when Beyleveld spotted a large Himalayan tahr positioned on a rocky ledge approximately 30 m from the hiking party, just below the area’s stunning indigenous forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Such a lekker<\/em> sighting,” Tresfon commented about the wildlife encounter. The group was treated to a second tahr sighting just above the forest area as they continued their ascent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The indigenous forest itself provided a peaceful respite during the hike. “The forest itself was magical as ever and perfectly peaceful,” Tresfon noted, highlighting one of the mountain’s most treasured natural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tresfon is also renowned for his stunning images of the Western Cape’s coastline and natural areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Renowned photographer Jean Tresfon shared his exhilarating Table Mountain hike with companions Cleeve Robertson and Barry Beyleveld on November 5.
