Meet Cheyenne Kruger \u2013 call sign FR38 \u2013 a first responder and dispatcher with Community Medics who joined the team in April 2024 with a heartfelt mission: to give back and be a steady hand in moments of crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She wears many hats. By profession Kruger’s a branch manager in the trading industry, overseeing daily operations while offering her expertise to clients navigating the complexities of trading. Yet, amid the demands of her career she finds profound purpose in volunteering for Community Medics, whether it’s operating the emergency call line or responding on the ground as a first responder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When not managing work tasks or on duty with Community Medics Kruger finds joy in life’s simple pleasures. She’s an avid cook, enjoys tranquil beach walks, and continuouly seeks knowledge through study. Above all, she cherishes quality time with her family, a source of unwavering support and inspiration.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kruger’s journey into emergency medical services was deeply influenced by her brother, whom she regards as her greatest role-model. His encouragement, coupled with the steadfast motivation from her family, propelled her to join Community Medics and pursue her calling in community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But there’s more to Kruger than meets the eye. A former elite athlete, she proudly holds South African colours and Western Province colours for five consecutive years in shotput, hammer throw, discus and javelin. Homeschooled throughout, Kruger ended her school days with distinctions in 13 subjects, a testament to her relentless dedication, focus and multifaceted talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She continues to balance her professional career with her volunteer work, embodying the spirit of service and excellence in everything she does. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Community Medics relies on the support of sponsors and donors to keep volunteers such as Kruger equipped and ready to respond.
