As inwoner van Montagu (wyk 7) is ek bekommerd oor die Montagu-gemeenskapsforum wat in verlede week se Gazette<\/i> s\u00ea die organisasie tree op in die belange van wyk 7 en wyk 12 as \u2019n nie-politieke organisasie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Niemand van wyk 7 dien op die bestuur nie en die inwoners van wyk 7 het, volgens my kennis, ook nie die forum toestemming gegee om namens die hele wyk op te tree of probleme op te los nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Op die oomblik het die gemeenskap Denzil Felix, wat van Worcester af kom, in die plaaslike verkiesing as wyk 7 se raadslid gekies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calvin Pekeur is die leier van die EFF en Jan Hoffman is lid van CSA. Laasgenoemde twee het in verlede jaar se verkiesing gestaan en was onsuksesvol teen Jacqui Pokwas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ek is die voorsitter van YIPYA en gebruik nie die gemeenskapsorganisasie as \u2019n rookskerm vir my politieke agenda nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ek het geen probleem met die gemeenskapsforum of enige van die bestuur nie, maar ek dink egter dit is wel iets goed as die hele gemeenskap betrek word en nie net politieke leiers aan die stuur van sake staan nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My kommer is ook dat ons gemeenskap gaan seerkry om smokkelhuise te wil hok slaan, soos die forum verduidelik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ons kan nie die werk van die polisie wil doen nie. Mense wat geweld wil bestry, is welkom om by buurtwagte aan te sluit, wat saam met die polisie werk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enige gemeenskapsprobleme kan by die Langeberg-munisipaliteit se WhatsApp-nommer by 065 211 7822 aangemeld word. Dit werk 24\/7 en almal word gehelp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ek daag egter beide Calvin Pekeur en Jan Hoffman uit om eerlik te wees met die gemeenskap en nie die gemeenskap verder te mislei nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plaas eerder nie-politieke leiers aan die stuur van sake of bedank uit alle politieke posisies of partye, en maak dit aan die publiek bekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Montagu-gemeenskapsforum se voorsitter, Calvin Pekeur, reageer: Ek sal voorstel u moet verlede week se foto en iedere persoon noukeurig besigtig en ek glo u sal dan u bewering moet heroorweeg. U moet ook die feite rakende \u2019n gemeenskap en politieke party verstaan, omrede dit blyk dat u self verward kyk. Later in u brief s\u00ea u weer dat u dink dis \u2019n goeie idee dat die bre\u00eb gemeenskap deel kan maak van die forum, so ek verstaan nie die argument nie. U moet regtig u stelling heroorweeg. Ek wil ook net noem dat ons nie die polisie se werk wil doen nie. Ons het wel besef die polisie het die gemeenskap se samewerking nodig. Ons sit niemand se lewe in gevaar nie; ons wil net hulp verleen aan die polisie. Dit is ook ons as individue se demokratiese reg om \u2019n politieke party te ondersteun, maar ek s\u00ea weer eens geen politieke agendas word deur die forum gevolg nie. Ons het dit wel nie in die vorige verkiesing gemaak nie, maar die forum is \u2019n duidelik bewys van hoe ons harte vir ons gemeenskap klop. Ons is hier om die mense van ons gemeenskap te dien; ons is hier om enige departement aan te spreek oor hul dienslewering of hul gebrek daaraan. <\/answer><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
