The JR Jansen Autism Foundation and Montagu-Ashton Tourism Association are joining forces to present a Miss Montagu Model\/Beauty Competition on Friday 23 September 2022 at the Montagu Civic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
April, which was autism month, put the spotlight on the medical condition and raising funds for it. In the Langeberg it was moved to the top of JR Jansen Autism Foundation\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One father, Edgar Jansen, knows the daily challenges for parents of children with the condition. She also understands the astronomical costs associated with giving one\u2019s child the best possible opportunities and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jansen\u2019s dream is, firstly, also to assist other parents with medical costs wherever possible and then the big dream of opening a special school in the Langeberg for autistic children, where these children will receive the much- needed attention and specific care to enable them for a successful future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seeds for these dreams have been planted a long time ago and currently a load of hard work and negotiation is going into establishing at least one classroom for these children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the idea of a Miss Montagu and, ultimately, a Miss Langeberg-born, the planning started in all earnest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Montagu-Ashton Tourism Association is honoured to support this worthy cause, at the same time creating an event that would, yet again, put Montagu in the focus for many visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dream for this event is to be able to roll out to all five Langeberg towns and then plan the ultimate Miss Langeberg competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But first things first \u2013 we invite all young ladies living within the borders of Montagu (including Koo and Keisie), between the ages 18 and 25 to enter as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Entry is free since each entrant would be an ambassador for autism and assist with selling of tickets for this prestigious evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rules also indicate all entrants must be single (not married and no children).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
