Elsebee Wilson (31) en Edwill Schippers (35), wat al drie jaar saam is, sou Vrydag 3 April om 16:00 trou aan mekaar beloof. Di\u00e9 seremonie sou gevolg word deur \u2019n intieme ete by Bay Leaf & Thyme in Riebeek-Kasteel met net 30 van hul naaste familie en vriende. Elsebee werk by Bay Leaf & Thyme. <\/p>\n

Maar ten spyte daarvan dat daar minder as 50 gaste sou wees, moes die spesiale dag eers op ys geplaas word nadat president Cyril Ramaphosa \u2019n nasionale staat van inperking vanaf 26 Maart tot 16 April ingestel het. Volgens di\u00e9 inperking mag niemand, behalwe diegene wat noodsaaklike dienste verrig en die nodige permit het, buite hul huise wees nie.<\/p>\n

Elsebee s\u00ea die dag het egter nie sonder \u2019n bietjie heimwee en hartseer verbygegaan nie.

\u201cEk het vir hom Vrydagoggend ges\u00ea ek sou nou haarsalon toe gegaan het. Om 14:00 het ek vir hom ges\u00ea: \u2018Liefie die fotograaf sou nou al hier gewees het\u2019. Om 15:45 stuur Edwill se suster vir my \u2019n boodskap om te s\u00ea hulle \u2018wag\u2019 vir my in die kerk en 16:00 toe s\u00ea ek vir hom ek stap nou in die kerk in. So, soos die tyd aangegaan het, het ons maar vir mekaar ges\u00ea wat op daardie oomblik sou gebeur. Die aand se kant toe s\u00ea ons vir mekaar ons is nou mevrou en meneer Schippers. Ek was opgewonde oor die dag en dit was maar \u2019n bietjie hartseer gewees.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hoewel sy die droomdag vir nou eers net in haar kop moes laat afspeel, sien sy uit na die dag dat sy en Edwill voor hul familie en vriende hul troubeloftes kan afl\u00ea.<\/p>\n

\u201cEdwill het ook vir my ges\u00ea: \u2018Liefie, moenie worry<\/em> nie, ons gaan trou, dis maar net as gevolg van die lockdown<\/em> dat alles nou bietjie op hold is<\/em>\u2019.\u201d

<\/p>\n

Die paartjie moet nog \u2019n nuwe troudatum vasmaak.

<\/p>\n

\u201cOns weet nou nie wat volgende week gaan gebeur nie so ons wag nou eers om te kyk wat die president s\u00ea n\u00e1 volgende week en dan sal ons \u2019n vaste datum kry. Ons wil nie nou \u2019n datum gee en dan moet ons dit weer uitstel nie.\u201d
