Maar om dit reg te kry, moet hy beskerming teen hulle kry, en daarvoor moet<br \/>\nhy iets doen wat respek afdwing.<\/p>\n<p>Daardie \u201ciets\u201d is stories vertel, en soos wat Scheherazade in die legendes van 1001 Arabiese Nagte vir die sultan stories vertel het, het AB saans vir die manne in sy sel stories vertel. Nadat hy sy vonnis uitgedien het, besluit hy dat die binnekant van \u2019n tronk hom nooit weer gaan sien nie, en dat hy \u2019n skrywer gaan word, kom wat wil.<\/p>\n<p><em>Skollie<\/em> is meer as \u2019n mooi storie \u2013 dis die inspirerende lewensverhaal van John. W. Fredericks, \u2019n eenvoudige man van die Kaapse Vlakte wat nooit wou moed opgee dat sy verhaal \u2019n rolprent sal word nie. Dit het hy nou in sy sewentigerjare reggekry, en ook die draaiboek geskryf.<\/p>\n<p>Die fliek is ook benoem as Suid-Afrika se amptelike inskrywing vir die Oscars.<\/p>\n<p>Plek-plek skok die storie, maar dis die kameraadskap, liefde, volharding en Fredericks se geloof dat daar iets groter en beter as sy situasie m\u00f3\u00e9t wees, wat \u2019n mens inspireer en bybly.
