Jamie\u2019s Italian is \u2019n restaurant-reeks wat deur die bekende sjef, Jamie Oliver<\/strong>, op die been gebring is. Die restaurante is reeds in van die w\u00eareld se voorste stede gevestig, met die jongste toevoeging wat in November in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg gaan open. En Shane, oorspronklik van Gauteng, is pas aangestel as die hoofsjef vir di\u00e9 gesogte eetplek.<\/p>\n

Dit is egter nie die eerste keer dat Shane agter dieselfde kospotte as Jamie Oliver kook nie. Hulle het in 2008 vir die eerste keer skouers geskuur toe Shane by die eerste Jamie\u2019s Italian-restaurant in Oxford gewerk het. Sedertdien het hy na Suid-Afrika teruggekeer, waar hy sy kundigheid in verskeie topklas restaurante vervolmaak het.<\/p>\n

Nou word hy weer met die Jamie\u2019s Italian-familie herenig en is hy tans saam met Jamie en sy span in die proses om \u2019n unieke spyskaart saam te stel.<\/p>\n

Hoewel die spyskaart nog nie gefinaliseer is nie, weet ons dat tuisgemaakte pasta die spil is waarom di\u00e9 lot draai. So ook maak Jamie\u2019s Italian voorsiening vir \u2019n bietjie speelsheid in sy spyskaart, met disse soos Heuningkoek Inkvis (foto hieronder) wat beslis \u2019n nuwerwetse skepping is. Voeg \u2019n knippie Suid-Afrikaanse tradisie daarby en jy sit met \u2019n restaurant wat jy eenvoudig moet besoek.<\/p>\n

Tog sal di\u00e9 restaurant nie vir lank die enigste van sy soort in Suid-Afrika wees nie. Dit is ook onlangs verklap dat \u2019n Kaapstadse Jamie\u2019s Italian beplan word, hoewel die presiese ligging nie bekendgemaak is nie. So ook word daar verneem dat drie ander takke binne die volgende sewe jaar op eie bodem gaan wortel skiet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
