Vinnig verseker die lugwaardin ons dat dit heeltemal normaal is en dat dit ons 24 uur sal neem om aan te pas by die nuwe hoogte waar daar 25% minder suurstof is.<\/p>\n<p>Ons het in die pragtige dorpie Saboo tuisgegaan. Die eerste opvallende kenmerk was die kraakvars lug, besoedeling is ongehoord. Terselfdertyd is die lug skerp as gevolg van weerkaatsing vanaf die wit \u201cHimalaya\u201d-bergreeks wat se pieke in die wolke verdwyn.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>So, waarom Leh?<\/h4>\n<p>Leh, gele\u00eb in die staat van Ladakh, is bekend vir sy staproetes. Leh is \u2019n prentjie van groenigheid, bruin sand, wit bergpieke en helderblou waterstrome van die Zanskar-rivier wat om die Himalaya-berge vleg.\u00a0Dan is daar ook die Panong-meer, die kristalhelder water wat oor \u2019n area van 100 km strek en oor twee grense, Indi\u00eb en China.<\/p>\n<p>Ons het besluit om vir \u2019n dag uit te ry na die oudste klooster in Indi\u00eb &#8211; \u201cLamayuru\u201d wat dateer uit\u00a0die tiende eeu en wat vandag ongeveer 140 monnike huisves. Gedurende ons reis bevind ons onsself in die mees ongerepte landskappe. Een daarvan staan bekend as\u00a0\u201cMoonlanding\u201d en lyk kompleet asof jy op die maan is!<\/p>\n<p>As jy voel jy het \u2019n vakansie nodig om jou siel weer te verryk en jou gedagtes te herlaai,\u00a0is Leh die plek wat jou sal help.
