Ja, regtig! Behalwe dat \u2019n\u00a0ton kreatiwiteit intussen in die oorspronklike struktuur ingespit is sodat daardie ongerepte eksterieur van die industri\u00eble gebou vandag \u2019n\u00a0heeltemal-van-die-bladsy-af- ongewone vyfsterhotel die <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turbinehotel.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">Turbine Boutique Hotel &amp; Spa<\/a> huisves.<\/p>\n<p>Die beste van alles is dat die argitek daardie grote, stokoue kragstasietoerusting in helder kleure laat verf en ewe netjies op hul oorspronklike plekke \u2019n\u00a0prominente staning in die gebou gegee het. Ek kon moeilik glo dat daardie stukke yster en staal met hul interessante vorms nie eietydse beeldhouwerke is nie. Klim in jou motor en gaan kyk \u2013 en rus en eet &#8211; maar self &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Vir di\u00e9 gebore en geto\u00eb Transvaler was die Tuinroete mooier as al die blomtuine wat ek tot nog toe gesien het. Wilde water teen die rotse met liggroen skuim waarop die son prismas verf, babagolfies op die skoon baaitjies doer onder, indrukwekkende vakansiehuise teen die groene hellings. Genoeg om jou in \u2019n\u00a0baie ontspanne bui te plaas nog voor jy by jou bestemming aangekom het. O ja, vergeet ek, in hierdie w\u00eareld is die reis mos eintlik die bestemming!<\/p>\n<p>En dan was daar die Bos &#8230; Dalene Matthee se bos waar ons nie kringe geloop het nie maar heeltyd gestop het om ons koppe agteroor te gooi en die grootte van die kalanders in die onbeskryflike Tsitsikamma Nasionale Park te bewonder; \u201clank en eerbiedig\u201d gekyk het, soos jy ook na \u2019n\u00a0Boerneef-herfs moet kyk. Die wonder van die skepping waarvan bome so \u2019n\u00a0intrinsieke deel is, asook die dankbaarheid dat die pragtige, pragtige bome (die hoogste een, \u2019n\u00a0Outenikwa-geelhout, is \u2019n\u00a0manjifieke 36 meter hoog met \u2019n\u00a0omvang van 8,5 meter) asook die helderkleurige, singende vo\u00eblbevolking &#8211; en natuurlik ook die klein diertjies wat jy heeltyd hoor skarrel &#8211; bewaar gebly het, was net te groot vir die oomblik. Onvergeetlik!<\/p>\n<p>Haas jou om ook te gaan kyk (en nie net na die bome nie, maar ook na alles wat in die Knysna-bos leef en groei &#8211; klein en groot). Dis iets wat bo-aan enige <em>bucket list<\/em> hoort &#8211; s\u00ea ek so ewe met die <em>hind sight<\/em> van iemand wat \u2019n\u00a0leeftyd gewag het voor ek daardie heilige grond betree het.
