Daarom gaan ons hierdie week in meer besonderhede kyk na hoe die bokasji-kombuisdrom werk en dan volgende week kyk na hoe \u2019n\u00a0wurmboerdery werk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Wat is nat, vaste afval?<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 Gebruikte en vuil papier of karton soos gebruikte papierservette, asook boksies en papier van wegneemetes, maar nie polistireen en plastiek nie (want dit breek nie af nie).<br \/>\n\u2022 Alle kosafval (gekook of rou), insluitend afval\u00a0soos sitrusskille en vleis, vis en bene.<\/p>\n<p>Die afval\u00a0moet eers met bokasji in \u2019n kombuisdrom behandel word. Gebruik \u2019n klein houertjie met \u2019n deksel, soos \u2019n 2l-roomysbak, in die kombuis om jou nat, vaste afval in te gooi. Maak dit in jou bokasji-kombuisdrom leeg wanneer dit vol is en sprinkel een handvol bokasji-poeier daaroor wanneer jy dit\u00a0in die emmer uitgooi.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-45974 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Bokasji-kombuisdrom-500x376.jpg\" alt=\"Bokasji-kombuisdrom\" width=\"451\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sodra\u00a0die kombuisdrom vol is, moet dit vir minstens \u2019n week lank staan om die mikro-organismes in die bokasji kans te gee om hulle werk te doen. Die organismes\u00a0fermenteer die kombuisafval sodat dit nie stink wanneer jy dit in jou komposhoop of lasagna-bedding gebruik nie. Dit\u00a0sal die ander komposteerbare vaste afval, soos tuinvullis, vinniger laat ontbind. Dit dien sommer dan ook as \u2019n komposaktiveerder. Jy kan die tuinvullis verder met effektiewe mikro-organismes (kortweg EM) behandel om die proses te bespoedig. Dit is in die handel beskikbaar as <em>Pro-bio Compost Activator<\/em> of\u00a0 <em>Earth Probiotic Compost Activator<\/em>.
