Annelie het gepraat van \u201cbunkertyd\u201d toe die Covid-19-pandemie die w\u00eareld getref het. In haar w\u00eareld was die tyd van korona ook \u2019n voorspel tot haar eie eindstryd met siekte, amputasie en uiteindelik, die onvermydelike seisoen van \u201cdie engele met raspervlerke\u201d. Twee bykarakters uit <em>Anderkant Pontenilo <\/em>en <em>P\u00e9rsomi<\/em> is die hoofkarakters in die roman.<\/p>\n<p>Die jong mediese student, Lettie Louw, keer in 1947 terug na die Bosvelddorpie waar sy grootgeword het om haar pa se praktyk oor te neem. Marco Romanelli oorleef \u2019n konsentrasiekamp, maar kom siek by sy ouerhuis in Noord-Itali\u00eb aan. Ter wille van sy gesondheid reis hy na Suid-Afrika. Bianca Fabricious, hygromanskrywer en nuwe eienaar van \u2018n gastehuis op St Helenabaai, het skaars haar voete gevind of die uitsig voor haar kamervenster verander in \u2019n misdaadtoneel. Om alles te kroon, is die slagoffer \u2019n blondine met wie Bianca haaks was oor di\u00e9 se kaalbassonbaaiery voor gaste. Dis duidelik dat die gawe speuradjudant Meintjies haar glo wanneer Bianca verduidelik sy het bloot die liggaam ontdek, maar kaptein De Wee is \u2019n perd van \u2019n ander kleur. Bianca probeer haarself as verdagte uitskakel en die regte boosdoener aan die kaak stel, maar dit veroorsaak \u2019n hele reeks onvoorsiene gebeure &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Madelein (58) is op 6 Augustus kort n\u00e1 di\u00e9 boek verskyn het aan kanker oorlede. Sy het in 2014 krimi\u2019s begin skryf en daarna het daar elke jaar \u2019n nuwe roman verskyn waarvan drie titels vir ATKV-Woordveertjies benoem is.
