Sy sluit aan by die chaos as Magda en Erhard se seun, Baltus, se boheemse meisie en voeg \u2019n ekovriendelike kinkel aan hul onverwagte saamwoon, wat Magda se w\u00eareld effens omkeer \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1440\" height=\"795\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Screenshot-2024-01-18-at-124933.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-142176\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto: Verskaf<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Mandri het ook verlede jaar Maandagaande in die komedie<em><a href=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/ontmoet-die-karakters-van-taktiek-kyknet-se-nuwe-komedie\/\"> Taktiek <\/a><\/em>op kykNET met haar rol as Mignon opgehelder. Mignon het die kommunikasie vir \u2019n sekuriteitsmaatskappy in die land se kleinste, veiligste dorpie op haar eie tyd bestuur. Mandri was ook in die kortfliek <em>Koors<\/em>, wat by die Silwerskermfees vertoon is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/TKT_EP01_STILLS_12-500x281-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-142179\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto: Verskaf<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aan die voorpunt van Mandri se rolle as aktrise, is egter haar eenvrouteaterstuk, <em>Vrou ens.<\/em> \u2019n bewys van haar vermo\u00eb om storievertelling met buitensporige karaktervertolking te meng. Die stuk delf in die lewens van vroue wat haar gedefinieer, gekritiseer, ge\u00efrriteer en ge\u00efnspireer het. Die karakters kom uit Mandri se eie pen en sy geniet dit gate uit om<em> <\/em>Tannie Elsie<em> <\/em>(wat bekend is vir haar \u201cHallo Sussa\u201d-video\u2019s op <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/vroudrie\/\">Instagram<\/a>), Mariette se ma, die <em>bodybuilder<\/em> Verna Koekemoer, en die<em> healer <\/em>Luna in di\u00e9 stuk uit te leef.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"441\" height=\"528\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-142174\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto: Bernard Brand<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volgens Mandri het sy van haar vroe\u00eb dae af skuiling in die kuns van storievertelling gevind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEk onthou hoe ek vir Georgina, die vrou wie my help grootmaak het, gedwing het om na my uitbeeldings van Whigfield, Chris de Burgh en Dana Winner, te luister \u2013 ek het natuurlik elke optrede met skriflesing en gebed begin,\u201d vertel sy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dankbaar vir die invloedryke figure wat die grondslag vir haar lewenslange liefde vir die verhoog gel\u00ea het, erken Mandri haar oupa se manier van stories vertel, haar ouma Cato wat haar gereeld saam na vertonings en konserte geneem en haar ouers, wat haar liefde vir drama ondersteun het, het na haar besluit gelei om haar kuns by die Universiteit Stellenbosch verder te slyp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Karlien Meiring<\/strong> het meer oor die veelsydige Mandri gaan uitvind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Hoe anders is dit om alleen op die verhoog teenoor om voor die kameras saam met \u2019n ensemble van akteurs te staan?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TV en teater is twee heeltemal verskillende kante van toneelspeel. As ek alleen optree, is dit net ek \u2013 ek besluit in die oomblik self waarheen die stories gedryf word, ek kry ook die geleentheid om te improviseer en dit be\u00efnvloed niemand anders nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As ek saam met \u2019n ensemble werk, is daar steeds vryheid, maar daar is ook soveel tegniese faktore wat \u2019n rol speel dat jy nie net aan jouself kan dink nie. Jy is slegs een deel van die legkaart, nie die hele legkaart nie. My goeie vriend, Len-Barry, laat my huil van die lag. Sekere video\u2019s van Afrikaanse smaakmakers laat my baie lag. Nee, ek gaan nie name noem nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Met watter van jou karakters identifiseer jy die meeste, en hoekom?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ek verstaan my karakters, maar ek identifiseer nie soseer met hulle nie. Dis bloot \u2019n uitbeelding van projeksies en waarnemings van stereotipes wat ek al te\u00ebgekom het. Party van die karakters kom al \u2019n lang pad, hulle is steeds relevant, maar al \u201cgebore\u201d toe ek baie jonger was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"552\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/image-9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-142181\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Het jy enige voornemens vir 2024?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ja, ek het! Ek wil graag dit waarmee ek besig is, uitbrei en groter optredes doen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ek wil ook die jaar probeer om een keer oorsee met my eenvroustuk te gaan. Dit lyk of ons Amsterdam toe sal kan gaan. Waarmee is jy besig wanneer jy nie gehore vermaak of skryf nie?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As ek nie werk of skryf nie, wat op die oomblik baie min is, is ek seker maar soos elke ander vryskutakteur: op die strand, in die water, op my bed met \u2019n boek, of op \u2019n video call met my ma.
