Maar om met hierdie onvoorspelbare medium te werk, is gelyke dele towery, kunstenaarskap en uiteindelik geloofsdade. \u2019n Keramiekkunstenaar kan nooit seker wees dat dit wat uit die oond kom, sal lyk soos wat hulle insit of van gedroom het nie. Christian s\u00ea voorts: \u201cTerwyl elke medium unieke moontlikhede bied, betower keramiek behoorlik met die geheimsinnige werk wat in die oond gebeur.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maar onsekerheid is nie die enigste uitdaging wat kunstenaars wat met keramiek werk, in die gesig staar nie. Die kragtoevoer moet konstant bly vir die duur van die vuurproses, om die gewenste artistieke resultate te bereik. So deurlopende beurtkrag het bykomende kompleksiteit in hul werksdag gebring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHierdie kunstenaars sukkel net om hul kuns te beoefen,\u201d s\u00ea sy. \u201cDie Spier Arts Trust wou hulle ondersteun en \u2019n geleentheid gee deur \u2019n opwindende uitstalruimte en \u2019n geleentheid vir blootstelling aan \u2019n bre\u00ebr mark binne Suid-Afrika te bied.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn Act of Faith\u201d bevat meer as 40 keramiekkunswerke deur kunstenaars van regoor die land. Alhoewel elke kunswerk uniek is, het sekere kerntemas na vore gekom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEie aan die keramiekmaakproses is die idee van transformasie,\u201d s\u00ea sy. \u201cModder, water, aarde en vuur werk almal saam om klei in kuns te omskep. Dis van porselein en gemengde glasuur.\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl><br style=\"clear: both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Spiritualiteit is ook groot met uitbeeldings van godsdienstige beelde en artefakte, en kunstenaars se eie interpretasies van die hiernamaals. Xirilo Wyne Ngobeni se werk is gegrond op begrafnis-urns en is byvoorbeeld \u2019n ode aan sy ma wat oorlede is.<\/p>\n<p>Al die keramiekskeppings vertel \u2019n storie.
