Foto\u2019s: Suzanne Kotz\u00e9, hooffoto verskaf<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Almal met jong kinders weet \u2019n gesinswegbreek draai maar om aktiweite om die kleinspan besig te hou &#8211; aktiwiteite wat die ouers gewoonlik stokflou laat en amper desperaat laat terugdink aan die dae voor die kinders, toe jy net luilekker kon terugl\u00ea, jou boek kon lees en \u2019n skemerkelkie kon drink.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-118435 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/speel.jpg\" alt=\"president-hotel-speelarea\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By The President Hotel, Bantry Bay, Kaapstad \u2013 wat pas \u2019n nuwe baadjie gekry het &#8211; is dit presies wat ons gedoen het! Ons twee seuns (6 en 9) het die speel-area, springkasteel en swembad (ja &#8211; hulle het geswem in die winter) so geniet dat Ma en Pa luilekker op die sonbeddens langs die swembad kon l\u00ea en boek lees met lang skemerkelkies in die hand. Sonder om die heeltyd bekommerd te wees dat hulle ander gaste pla, want die hotel is kindervriendelik. Die kinders het dit so geniet dat ons selfs ons uitstappies vir die dag gekanselleer en net by die hotel gebly het!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-117547 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/suz-cocktail.jpg\" alt=\"Gesinswegbreek-The-President-Hotel-Kaapstad-drankie\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ons gesin het \u2019n naweek in The President Hotel deurgebring en is bederf met \u2019n tweeslaapkamerwoonstel met \u2019n balkon met \u2019n pragtige uitsig oor die swembad en die see. Tydens ons aankoms het daar peuselhappies, koeldrank en wyn in ons woonstel gewag. Daar was selfs \u2019n boek vir elke seuntjie om saam te neem huis toe.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_117631\" style=\"width: 346px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-117631\" class=\"size-full wp-image-117631\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/suz-kinderkamer.jpg\" alt=\"Gesinswegbreek-President-Hotel-Kaapstad-kamer\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-117631\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Die kinders se kamer met die geskenkboekies<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Die kinders was in ekstase oor hulle eie kamer en badkamer en die beste van alles &#8211; volgens hulle &#8211; hul eie TV in hulle kamer. Nog iets wat baie handig is, is dat jy onder jou eie Netflix-rekening kan inteken en op een van die drie TV\u2019s na Netflix kan kyk.<\/p>\n<p>Ons oopplan sitkamer en kombuis (met eetkamertafel, eetgerei en \u2018n yskas) het groot vensters en \u2018n skuifdeur gehad met \u2018n pragtige see-uitsig. Die hoofslaapkamer is ook en-suite met \u2018n heerlike ruim badkamer en \u2018n skuifdeur en balkon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-117635 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/suz-uitsig-balkom.jpg\" alt=\"Gesinswegbreek-President-Hotel-Kaapstad-uitsig\" width=\"320\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Psst: Pak gerus ekstra koeldrank en peuselhappies in as jou kinders, soos ons s\u2019n, aanhoudend dors en honger is. Hulle mag jou andersins net bankrot eet \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_117636\" style=\"width: 346px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-117636\" class=\"size-full wp-image-117636\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/suz-klein-sjefs-maak-eie-pizza.jpg\" alt=\"Gesinswegbreek-President-hotel-kaapstad-pizza\" width=\"336\" height=\"410\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-117636\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Die klein sjefs maak hul eie pizza<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Vrydagaande eet twee kinders tussen 5 nm en 8 nm gratis pizza indien hulle vergesel word deur twee volwassenes wat elkeen \u2018n hoofmaaltyd bestel. Ons het natuurlik hierdie opsie gekies, en die lekkerste van alles is dat die speel-area naby die restaurant is en daar selfs oppassers is wat die kinders in die speel-area dophou. Die kinders kry ook die geleentheid om hulle eie pizza te maak, kompleet met \u2018n sjefhoed en voorskoot! Ma en Pa het heerlik aan seekos gesmul terwyl die seuns hulle pizza geniet het.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_117638\" style=\"width: 346px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-117638\" class=\"size-full wp-image-117638\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/rooirose\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/suz-mossels.jpg\" alt=\"Gesinswegbreek-President-hotel-kaapstad-mossels\" width=\"336\" height=\"393\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-117638\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Heerlike mossels<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Die onbytbuffet is heerlik, met \u2018n reuse verskeidenheid keuses van graankosse tot vrugte en \u2018n warm ontbyt. Vir die seuns was die heel opwindendste die \u201cpannekoek\u201d-masjien. Jy druk \u2018n knoppie en wag dan vir jou Amerikaanse styl pannekoeke om gemaak te word. Dit val op jou bord uit. Ons het buite op die terras langs die swembad (wat ook \u2018n see-uitsig het) ontbyt geniet terwyl die seuns heen en weer tussen die pannekoekmasjien, ons tafel en die speel-area gehardloop het. Wees net bedag op die \u201cstoute seevo\u00ebls\u201d wat blitsig op jou tafel kan neerdaal om kos te steel!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Die speel-area vir die kinders is lieflik; dit het alles van<em> tee-pee <\/em>tente om in te speel tot \u2018n klimgim, swaaie, glyplank en \u2018n lekker springkasteel. Soos reeds genoem, het ons die hele Saterdag hier deurgebring terwyl die kinders rondgebons en geswem het. Vir aandete het ons <em>room service <\/em>bestel, op aandrang van die seuns wat dit natuurlik baie opwindend gevind het.\u00a0 Ons het heerlik op die balkon sit en eet met die gedruis van branders en die reuk van seelug. Die seuns se kaartjies was gratis. En jy kry 35% afslag op \u2018n een- of tweeslaapkamerwoonstel. Dit beteken dat jy vanaf slegs R1 877 (vir \u2018n eenslaapkamerwoonstel) met jou gesin kan oorbly!
