Hy is die beroemde dansmeester <strong>Alexander Pushkin<\/strong> wat Nureyev se talent raaksien en hom met buitengewoon baie geduld afrig. Pushkin se vrou, Xenia (gespeel deur <strong>Chulpan Khamatova<\/strong>) stel ook in Rudolf belang, maar haar belangstelling is meer in hom as aantreklike sensuele jong man en sy nooi hom om by haar en haar man te kom bly en verlei hom uiteindelik.
