Die gelukkige Kapenaars! Afgesien van die berg, die see en \u2019n rits ander lekkertes aan die suidpunt van Afrika, vind die derde jaarlikse South African International Tattoo Convention<\/strong> van 29-31 Maart<\/strong> by The Lookout<\/span>, V&A Waterfront, plaas.<\/p>\n

Plaaslike kunstenaars sowel as kunstenaars uit die Ooste, Europa, Noord- en Suid-Amerika – noem maar op \u2013 kom hulle slag wys. Daar is meer as 15 genres en style van moderne en tradisionele tatoe\u00ebring waaruit jy kan kies. Om \u2019n tatoe te kry, is dit wys om vooraf plek te bespreek op\u00a0hul webblad<\/a> of anders kan jy jou geluk tydens die drie dae gaan beproef.<\/p>\n

Met ses bands<\/em>, \u2019n langspeelplaat-DJ, drie kostrokke, \u2019n groot biertuin en stalletjies met handgemaakte, mode- en leefstylitems asook bykomstighede, boeke, en plate, is dit \u2019n lekker geleentheid vir die hele gesin. In watter genres werk jy graag?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Ek is gek na die neo-tradisionele styl met Japanese, Chinese, Art Nouveau- en Viktoriaanse elemente versier. Ek tatoe\u00eber graag beelde van diere of beeldskone vroue – eintlik enigiets wat esteties mooi is.<\/p>\n

Ek skep nie graag tatoes van donker of bose onderwerpe nie en verkies die dekoratiewe bo die afskuwelike of rillertemas.<\/p>\n

Tatoes in die Japanese en Chinese styl trek my aan omdat hulle pragtig saam met die liggaam vloei en omdat die onderwerpe en posisionering daarvan versteekte betekenisse inhou.<\/p>\n

Ek is baie lief vir honde en troeteldiere in die algemeen en doen talle portrette van hulle. Ek geniet dit om portretwerk te doen en weergawes van kunswerke te maak.<\/p>\n

Jy het seker die interessantste stories om te vertel!<\/h4>\n

Daar is soveel stories, en in my werk het ek al soveel ongelooflike mense ontmoet dat dit moeilik is om iets uit te sonder. Ek kan wel s\u00ea my werk as tatoe\u00eberkunstenaar<\/span> het by my \u2019n gevoel van belonging <\/em>gekweek. Ek voel deel van \u2019n gemeenskap.<\/p>\n

Dit het ook tot reise en ontmoetings met mense gelei wat jy nie sommer in \u2019n ander industrie sal beleef nie. Ek kan more besluit om byvoorbeeld vir \u2019n week in Kuba te gaan werk, en dit regkry. Dis \u2019n opwindende aspek van my werk, en al wat baie keer my tuis hou, is die feit dat ek \u2019n onderneming bestuur.<\/p>\n

Die afgelope jaar het ek gewerk met vroue wat borskanker oorleef het. Ek het gratis tepeltatoes<\/a> gedoen en soveel dapper, ongelooflike vroue ontmoet wat nog nooit \u2019n voet in \u2019n tatoewinkel gesit het nie. Ek het al soveel uit my werk geput en om iets te kan teruggee maak my hart warm, veral aan mense wat hierdie soort trauma moes verduur.<\/p>\n

Die terloopse kommentaar van vreemdes is soms negatief. Laas week het ek gehoor hoe iemand in \u2019n kruidenierswinkel vir haar vriendin s\u00ea terwyl sy na my kyk: \u2018Ek het geen respek vir iemand soos sy nie. Disgusting<\/em>.\u2019 Die vorige dag het \u2019n ander vrou my gesien terwyl sy en haar man iets in hulle kar laai, en sy s\u00ea toe net: \u2018Sies.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ek probeer om my nie daaraan te steur nie, maar daardie woorde bly my by. Dit laat my besef hoe ons mekaar kan seermaak en hoe wreed mense wat anders lyk soms veroordeel word. Die ou gesegde lui dat jy nie iemand op sy baadjie moet takseer nie. Tatoes is \u2019n vorm van selfuitdrukking, nes jou haarstyl, die klere wat jy dra, of die motor wat jy bestuur. Dis dalk \u2019n bietjie meer ekstreem, maar daar is ook skoonheid daarin.<\/p>\n

Het jy wenke vir die keuse en posisie van \u2019n ontwerp, en vir die hele proses?<\/h4>\n

As jy \u2019n idee het vir tatoe, is dit die beste om by die winkel van jou keuse in te loer en met die kunstenaar wat jy in die oog het te gesels.<\/p>\n

Neem foto\u2019s van onderwerpe waarvan jy hou (druk dit uit of stuur dit vooraf aan die kunstenaar) sodat hy of sy vir jou terugvoer kan gee en voorstelle kan maak oor wat goed sal lyk.<\/p>\n

Probeer \u2019n kunstenaar kry wat spesialiseer in iets wat jou regtig trek. Dis baie belangrik \u2013 geen kunstenaar kan alles doen nie.<\/p>\n

Sodra julle jou idee bespreek en \u2019n plan uitgewerk het, moet jy bereid wees om \u2019n nie-terugbetaalbare deposito te betaal. Dit verseker jou afspraak en dek die koste van korrespondensie, \u2019n kansellasie op die nippertjie, en die tyd wat dit verg om jou ontwerp voor te berei.<\/p>\n

Maak dubbeld seker dat jy 100% tevrede is met die ontwerp. Sodra dit op jou liggaam geposisioneer is, moet jy jou tyd neem en kyk of jy gelukkig is daarmee. Onthou, dit gaan vir altyd daar wees!<\/p>\n

Probeer om nie te veel oor die pyn te tob nie. Moenie uit vrees \u2019n kompromis aangaan wat die grootte of plasing van jou tatoe betref nie. Alle tatoes behels pyn, en die kunstenaar sal jou nie druk om enigiets te voltooi nie. Moenie bang wees om nog \u2019n sessie aan te vra nie.<\/p>\n

Meestal sal bewuste asemhaling en \u2019n pynstiller jou deur \u2019n hele klompie ure se tatoe\u00ebring<\/span> sien.<\/p>\n

As dit klaar is en jy gelukkig is daarmee, maak seker jy kry gedetailleerde instruksies oor die genesingsproses.<\/p>\n

As jy kan, gee vir jou kunstenaar \u2019n fooitjie.\u00a0 Dit word nie verwag nie, maar omdat die meeste kunstenaar tussen 50-30% kommissie betaal aan die winkel waar hulle werk, is dit \u2019n mooi manier om dankie te s\u00ea.<\/p>\n

Tatoe\u00eberkuns is nie \u2019n maklike werk nie en om dit goed te doen, verg regtig baie fisieke en geestesenergie.<\/p>\n
