Die slagspreuk \u201cBecause I’m worth it<\/em>\u201d is in 1971 geskep deur \u2019n 23-jarige vroulike kopieskrywer, Ilon Specht<\/strong>. Gedurende die sewentigs is die meeste advertensieveldtogte deur mans uitgedink en het maar min op vroue gefokus. Gedurende hierdie tyd het vroueregte egter meer aandag begin geniet en L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris<\/strong><\/em> het vurig aan die kant van vroue regoor die w\u00eareld gestaan. Volgens L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris bevorder die slagspreuk nie net vroue se selfwaarde nie, maar dit bevorder ook\u00a0die bemagtiging van\u00a0vroue.<\/p>\n

Theresa van Rooyen,<\/strong> bemarkingsbestuurder vir L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris, werk al vir 10 jaar hier. \u201cEk was \u2019n regte “L’Or\u00e9al Baby<\/em>” en het direk na universiteit hier begin werk,\u201d vertel sy. Hoe het ons siening van skoonheid verander die afgelope 10 jaar?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regoor die w\u00eareld word daar al hoe meer \u2019n klem geplaas op inklusiewe skoonheid; dus skoonheid wat wegbeweeg van stereotipes. L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris het ook hierdie siening van skoonheid ons eie gemaak en dit kom na vore in al ons advertensieveldtogte van die laaste paar jaar. Die L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris x Balmain samewerking in 2017 is maar een van die voorbeelde waar vroue van alle ouderdomme op die loopplank te sien was. Hoe het julle “worth it<\/em>” slagspreuk oor die dekades verander om meer inklusief te word?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die slagspreuk het ontwikkel van die oorspronklike \u201cBecause I’m worth it<\/em>\u201d na \u201cBecause you\u2019re worth it,<\/em>\u201d toe na \u201cBecause we\u2019re worth it<\/em>\u201d en nou na \u201cWorth it<\/em>\u201d toe. Die idee agter die slagspreuk is om relevant te bly vir vroue in elke era en vandag is die slagspreuk meer inklusief en beklemtoon nie net ons eie selfwaardigheid\u00a0nie,\u00a0maar ook di\u00e9 van vroue rondom ons. Die doel agter die slagspreuk is om alle vroue te ondersteun op hulle weg na selfvervulling na gelang van hulle eie re\u00ebls en behoeftes.<\/p>\n

Hoe verskil die Suid-Afrikaanse skoonheidsmark van die res van die w\u00eareld?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Suid Afrikaanse mark het \u2019n veel bre\u00ebr spektrum van diversiteit. Dit maak die skoonheidsindustrie uitdagend, maar ook opwindend vir enige internasionale maatskappy. In Europa is verouderingswerende velprodukte die grootste en ook die mees dinamiese sektor. In Suid-Afrika is \u2019n oneweredige gelaat as gevolg van donker merke weens sonskade \u2019n baie groter probleem. Suid-Afrikaanse vroue verkies ook eerder \u2019n vogroom of onderlaag wat \u2019n SBF-produk insluit.
