The story realises the immortal words of departed President Nelson Mandela that \u201cEducation is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to bring this innovative, educational and entertaining story to the stage, the company researched and developed this piece over a period of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The advent of the Covid-19 pandemic two years ago resulted in pandemonium in the educational school system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Children dropped out of school, there was a lack of proper teaching time, inadequate learning and social ills among learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the learners\u2019 recent return to full teaching time, a new phenomenon emerged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It borders on \u201ccivil unrest\u201d at schools. This was brought about by the two years that learners were away from each other and did not know how to socialise, a rise in bullying, a lack of interaction and their inability to communicate decently with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The play will address the above issues in an informative, knowledge-driven and entertaining manner. It not only focuses on the causes and effects but also the solutions to this \u201ccivil unrest\u201d in schools. This is done through spellbinding drama, dance and music. These performing arts genres are idioms that the youth can identify with. The production is likened to a double edged sword. It teaches and entertains at the same time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To date, the play\u2019s performance at schools has been an overwhelming success. Furthermore, the audience is given a voice to debate the story in a question and answer session after the performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The show is offered free to schools and will run for 30 minutes until the end of June. All sound and props will be provided. The schools provide the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
