A family is desperately searching for their missing daughters who disappeared on Friday 27 May. They were last seen at the Muizenberg Library<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sisters Vanessa \u201cKinelley\u201d and Kimberly Mubaiwa were reportedly working on a school project at the library. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to their father Douglas Mubaiwa, the duo was seen leaving the library before closing time at 14:00. \u201cThey wanted to do a project for school. Kimberley is the eldest and the younger sister is Vanessa. We went to the library and the librarian said that they (the sisters) arrived, then left just before 14:00 because on Fridays the library closes at 14:00.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sisters reportedly left towards Muizenberg High School where witnesses claimed they got a lift from a woman in a white Honda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen they arrived at Muizenberg High they were apparently approached by a woman in a white Honda offering a lift from Muizenberg High and they said no, because they live in Capricorn and wanted to be dropped at KFC in Capricorn,\u201d said the father, quoting a witness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the lead came to a dead end when CCTV footage showed that it was not the pair that got into the vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe checked the video footage at KFC and saw that it was not our children who were in the car. From there we reached out again to the library, but the police are taking long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are trying to search again from the library, to see where they went from there. We don\u2019t know where they are now and what is happening to them. It\u2019s now a week since last week Friday, but we are still searching.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muizenberg Police Station commander Col Vassie Naidoo confirmed that a missing person\u2019s case has been opened. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA missing person\u2019s enquiry has been opened at Muizenberg police and is currently under investigation.
