Days and nights have turned into an unbearable month as a Capricorn family hopes to see their two daughters after they vanished in Muizenberg on Friday 27 May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sisters Vanessa (18) and Kimberly Mubaiwa (22) disappeared after leaving Muizenberg Library on that fateful Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vanessa is a Grade-12 learner at Muizenberg High School. She was reportedly working on a school project with Kimberly on the day of their disappearance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their absence is becoming more painful for the family. They both would have celebrated their birthdays in June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Douglas Mubaiwa, their father, says the family is not doing well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVanessa is turning 19 on the 27th of June and Kimberly turned 22 on the 9th of June.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their mother, Lauren, is so sick with worry that she has stopped eating, says Mabuiwa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe is sick and not eating at all. We are still busy searching.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sisters were last seen leaving the library just before closing time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey wanted to do a project for school. We went to the library and the librarian said that they (the sisters) arrived, then left just before 14:00 because on Friday\u2019s the library closes at 14:00.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muizenberg Police Station commander Col Vassie Naidoo said the investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA missing person\u2019s enquiry has been opened at Muizenberg police and is currently under investigation.
