went missing on Friday 27 May<\/a> after they allegedly told their parents they would be working on a school project. <\/p>\n\n\n\nThe girls were last seen leaving the library. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a Facebook video on Wednesday 29 June a woman claimed the girls had been found in Johannesburg, and had left Cape Town of their own accord. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The girls\u2019 father, Douglas, confirmed the sisters had been found. \u201cTheir mother has left for Johannesburg.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday 30 June, Muizenberg police spokesperson Capt Stephen Knapp said the investigating officer was on his way to Johannesburg to verify the identities of the girls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe investigating officer has gone to Johannesburg to confirm the identities of the girls, and a media statement will be sent out once this has been done.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile Mymoena Scholtz, founder of the Where Rainbows Meet Foundation and an acquaintance of the family, said she was grateful the sisters were found unharmed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
