The forum has 130 members, but 80 attended the surprise event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was our normal monthly meeting where we invited staff from the health and fire departments to come and speak to the members about the standard health and fire requirements,\u201d says forum chair Valda Phillips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe celebration was a surprise to the members, it was a meeting with a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum is made up of representatives of registered Early Childhood Development centres (ECDs) in the Mitchell\u2019s Plain area. The forum meets every third week of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you would like to be part of Mitchell\u2019s Plain Educare forum you only need to sign up as a member, and we also have a chat group where we notify all our members of what transpires in our ECD sector,\u201d says Philips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For more information, contact Phillips via WhatsApp on 082 408 8633 or phone 063 632 8138.
