On Monday 26 September at 3:00, a law enforcement team on patrol in the Cape Town CBD noted a hijacking in progress at a fuel station in Buitengracht Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Using their vehicle to block the hijacked vehicle\u2019s getaway, the officers proceeded to arrest the suspect behind the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The following day (Tuesday 27 September), Smith posted that \u201cinformation later received suggests that the suspect arrested is believed to be a detective at Rondebosch SAPS, information is being followed up by officials this morning\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
