A prominent public servant was arrested in Hanover Park on Friday 14 October on a charge of rape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The case was opened earlier this week at the Philippi Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is alleged that the accused promised the complainant work opportunities in the safety sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said: \u201cA 56-year-old male was arrested on Friday 14 October on a charge of rape and is due to make a court appearance in the Wynberg Magistrate\u2019s Court on Monday (17 October).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
