\u2018sickening\u2019 video footage that emerged on social media of a man having sex with a dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video found its way to Cape of Good Hope SPCA (CoGH SPCA)senior inspectors after being forwarded by concerned members of the community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CoGH SPCA\u2019s chief inspector Jaco Pieterse confirmed the footage, which showed the man engaged in an alleged act of bestiality, went viral after being posted online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe SPCA immediately investigated the incident and within mere hours was able to trace the man to his home address in Manenberg, where an arrest was made,\u201d says Pieterse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>READ |&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.news24.com\/News24\/beastiality-on-the-rise-spca-20020326\">Beastiality on the rise \u2013 SPCA<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man was taken into police custody and the SPCA has laid criminal charges against him for bestiality in terms of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act 23 of 2007 and animal cruelty on terms of the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962 which makes it an offence to ill-treat, torture or terrify any animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The animal, a small breed, was removed from the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SPCA urges communities to report animal cruelty and cases of bestiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-embed24=\"Oovvuu2\" data-pos=\"middle\"
