Capetonians will have the opportunity to attend a nostalgic show featuring SA\u2019s Gypsy Kings on Saturday 25 February at the Joseph Stone Auditorium in Athlone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jayson Jay King, a veteran in the South African music industry, is the director of the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SA Gypsy Kings features Nizaam Deen Moses on lead flamenco guitar, supported by lead flamenco singer Ameen Bruno Hernandez, Abdullah Prince on guitar and vocals, and Masood Daniels on guitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SA Gypsy Kings plays \u201clive\u201d acoustic guitars backed by specially programmed tracks to fill the music content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll members of this group return to Europe soon after the one performance in Athlone to perform their music at various five-star hotels and resorts for the European summer season. Booking is open at Webtickets at all Pick n Pay stores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCapetonians will be glad to hear that the special guest star is Fagrie Isaacs,\u201d King says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaacs pays tribute to the late American crooner Luther Vandross and has performed all over South Africa. He started in the show business industry at a very young age and has now matured into a star-stopper on any stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

King is the host\/MC\/narrator\/singer with 63 years under his belt as an entertainer having travelled and performed in many parts of the world. Now aged 78, he comes back even stronger to render songs made popular by Elvis Presley, Julio Iglesias and Engelbert Humperdinck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This production presents only the best of some of SA\u2019s best entertainers and this is displayed in style by Ruth Knight who belts out the natural sounds of Natalie Cole, Shirley Bassey and Gladys Knight. She has been with the company for close to 15 years and has pleased audiences ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sumaya Hendricks, known for her sultry moves and sizzling voice-stylings, can sing any song in true style and brings to life J-Lo, Gloria Estefan and Jennifer Rush, and leads the group with some beautiful groovy songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dennis Maart has been a member of Jayson\u2019s company since 1993 and is a seasoned performer and a favourite with audiences doing songs like \u201cI Believe\u201d and tributes to Tom Jones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicolette Gwabe, an artist with several years of experience performing in Europe, returns with renditions of Whitney Houston. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is also pretty comfortable singing lead and a tribute to the late Aretha Franklin and so many other international superstars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kashifa Blaauw is renowned for bringing the roof down with unforgettable tributes to Tina Turner. She is a classic to listen to and her version of \u201cNever again\u201d from the movie Greatest Showman<\/span> is moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA newcomer to our company but who started as a young juvenile singer in many other shows is 30-year-old Gusain Abdurahman who exudes a beautiful sounding falsetto and vibrato doing songs of Peabo Bryson and Billy Ocean. He is part of the three-part harmony group with songs of Manhattans and 4 Tops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis concert is suitable for the whole family and when the four girls get together with songs of Supremes, Three Degrees, Destiny\u2019s Child and others, you will immediately enjoy the vibe by these professionals,\u201d says King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South African entertainers and especially those from Cape Town are unashamed \u201ccopycat\u201d singers that sometimes bring out the same voice stylings of the international recording stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All artists perform professionally programmed backing tracks and do their backing harmonies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show is also available for fundraising to all NPO\u2019s or Recreational and Sport Clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
