Quinton Smith, owner of the Boho Barber Shop, who has turned the walls of his business into an art gallery to support artists in the area, says his vision was to transform open spaces into an eclectic experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI wanted something unique,\u201d says Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA group of artists from The Blue Planet Fine Art gallery in Muizenberg teach art classes and we came up with the idea to display their work on our walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCurated by local artist, Franci Henny, our collaboration has created a welcoming environment that blends both personal style and artistic expression.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smith adds that different kinds of people from all walks of life gets to enjoy the art with the opportunity to purchase a piece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have been in the industry for around 30 years and I just wanted to do something different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPeople can look forward to seeing all kinds of artwork on display as we have an entire wall dedicated to it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the idea behind the collaboration was to get artists work seen, says local artist Henny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTalent alone is not enough to make a living as an artist. You also need to be a business person,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
