Camps Bay Primary School learners and members of the Ignisive \u2013 ignite inclusive change organisation, handed over gift boxes to learners from Kalksteenfontein Primary School in Bishop Lavis on Monday 4 December.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas came a little early for learners from Kalksteenfontein Primary School in Bishop Lavis thanks to a group of Camps Bay Good Samaritans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camps Bay Primary School learners and members of the Ignisive \u2013 ignite inclusive change organisation, handed over gift boxes to learners on Monday 4 December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Camps Bay-based organisation consists of various entities, from local government, police, businesses and residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theresa Massaglia, co-founder of the initiative says over 303 \u2018boxes of love\u2019 were handed over. She explains that the boxes were filled with toiletries, sweets, clothing items, and, toys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massaglia says the learners and teachers each received a boerewors roll which was sponsored by Tony Stern of South Beach Camps Bay Boutique Hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also thanked all the sponsors who made the event possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massaglia says: \u201cTo Kalksteenfontein Primary School principal and teachers and Camps Bay Primary principal and all teachers thanks for your leadership and the space you create in your busy school calendars to make social upliftment, kindness and a sense of community a priority. We value your partnership.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sgt Glynnis Bester, Crime Information Officer at Camps Bay Police Station, says: \u201cIt was an emotional day. It was fantastic and heartfelt. It was worth doing everything. To see how the children\u2019s faces lit up when they received the gift. These children get a small gift, and it was appreciated by all of them.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catri Hamman, school principal at Kalksteenfontein Primary, says: \u201cIt was an amazing day. The kids were excited. What made it extra special was that each box had a name tag on it. So, each child felt special because they saw their name on the gift. We are thankful to everyone.
