It has paid off, and we are so very proud of them,\u201d says Maynier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur matric parents rallied around to support our candidates this year, and they share in this achievement. We also recognise the exceptional efforts of our matric teachers, as they have faced a challenging year standing alongside their learners. We also have the second highest distinctions rate, with 24 982 subject distinctions being awarded to candidates in the Western Cape,\u201d continues Maynier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is an incredible achievement considering the events of 2023, including a devastating minibus taxi strike and an illegal blockade of learner transport in Khayelitsha, two massive floods, and ongoing crippling load shedding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The province also boasts a 69.3% retention rate from 2021\u2019s Grade 10 class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the area\u2019s top performing schools, Star College Bridgetown has maintained an impressive 25-year streak with a 100% pass rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s star student Faraaz Ahmed Parker achieved 10 distinctions with a 97% aggregate overall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall the class achieved 58 distinctions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are immensely proud of our students\u2019 achievements, and these outstanding results are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the unwavering commitment of our educators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Star College Bridgetown continues to be a beacon of academic excellence, shaping the future leaders of
