A Cape Town man has died following a stabbing incident at a music concert held at the Caste of Good Hope on Saturday 3 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police an altercation broke out between two unknown men, who were attending the Summer Groove music event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim was rushed to New Somerset Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries on Sunday 4 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Capt FC van Wyk, provincial police spokesperson, said: \u201cThe deceased was stabbed and treated on the scene for injuries sustained and afterwards taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance for further medical treatment. He later died from injuries sustained.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Van Wyk a murder case was opened for investigation and no arrest had yet been made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Calvyn Gilfellan, Chief Executive Officer of the Castle Control Board, extended his condolences to the families and described the incident as \u201cunfortunate\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSafety and security are among the Castle of Good Hope\u2019s top strategic risks,\u201d he pointed out, \u201cand this is the first such incident in my 10 years at the castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHowever, this is simply one incident too many.
