This was also an opportunity for those attending to engage with various financial products offered by the bank.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>A group of 50 locals attended a consumer- and financial-education conference on Tuesday 13 February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted by a leading bank at the Portland Indoor Centre, the programme included a financial lecture and motivation as well as a panel discussion involving community leaders, businesswomen in various sectors and bank management. The area forms part of the bank\u2019s target audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In planning the event, the bank identified a previously disadvantaged community in need of assistance to make smarter financial
