We knew that they were busy breaking into our vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hiker added that he immediately alerted his safety tracking service that in turn alerted Saps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Blockquote\" data-pos=\"Left\" id=\"embed_2001414d\">\n<div class=\"text\">\u201cWhen we got down, four of our vehicles were broken into and stuff stolen out of it. I was furious for they did so much damage. It is really so frustrating that this had to happen\u201d <p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Extensive details as to the exact time the incident occurred or items stolen during this time is not known to <span>People\u2019s Post<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends of Table Mountain\u2019s (FoTM) chair Andy Davison said he was not alerted to the incident, \u201cbut I know City of Cape Town officials were patrolling around Devil\u2019s Peak regularly\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Images\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_0318e2d8\">\n<div class=\"slide\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-smallsrc=\"https:\/\/cdn.24.co.za\/files\/Cms\/General\/d\/11861\/de47de4c70804dcabd66cb62118779ee.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/peoplespost\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/430863ada1b84fbd939ee0db2377441b.jpg\" title=\"FoTM chair Andy Davison said more cameras need to be installed in the TMNP\u2019s parking areas to assist the fight against criminal activities surrounding Table Mountain. PHOTO: Facebook\/Supplied<\/div>\n<div class=\"img_accreditation\"><span class=\"source\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><span class=\"photographer\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>However, he said that the TMNP car parks remain a constant headache, regarding car break-ins, between South African National Parks (SANParks) and the City, adding: \u201cCameras need to be installed and regular patrolling needs to occur.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SANParks spokesperson Lauren Howard Clayton confirmed the incident, saying SANParks TMNP is aware of the car break-ins that took place along Devil\u2019s Peak over the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SANParks urge anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact Saps for further investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe remind visitors to avoid leaving valuables in their vehicles and to remain vigilant at all times.
