CPF chair Sharon Claasen says they visited the home in April and were alerted to the dire needs of the seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe CPF visited the home just before Easter and handed Easter eggs to the seniors. Seeing the delight on their faces, we decided to treat them each with a box of luxuries. It was at this event that we engaged the seniors and management. We then learnt of the need for adult nappies, particularly now with winter coming up,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CPF is also seeking to make outreach initiatives a quarterly event to bring comfort and relief to those who need support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur senior citizens have contributed to society in many ways and need to be cared for in their twilight years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey have paved the way for us to be where we are today. We also require linen savers to protect the bedding from being soiled, wet wipes \u2013 essentially hygiene products for seniors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone wanting to donate can drop off packs of adult diapers at the Athlone Police Station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>For more information, contact Claasen on 084 799 4493 or Pat O\u2019Connor on 079 874 9406.
